Join the Fight. Join Team MPN

Ready to join the fight against MPNs? Join Team MPN and play an active role in the search for better treatments and a cure for Polycythemia Vera (PV), Essential Thrombocythemia (ET) and Myelofibrosis (MF).

Team MPN members participate in marathons, triathlons, art shows, bake sales, cycling events, long-distance hikes – anything – all to support MPN research! You can even just pledge your birthday in lieu of presents.

4 Steps to Joining Team MPN

Step 1: Come up with an idea that sounds fun and doable for you! Is there an athletic event you’ve been eyeing and you need a cause? Maybe you don’t want to participate in an athletic event. Do you play poker and want to organize a game for charity? Have a great house to show off for a cocktail party? The possibilities are endless.

Step 2: Contact MPNRF to let us know what you’re planning at giving@mpnrf.org. Find out how we can support your efforts and how the funds will be used.

Step 3: Easily set up your event. Click here to create a fundraising page for your event. Be sure to get personal and add a story about why you decided to raise funds for MPN Research. 

Step 4: Communicate and Network – Get the word out. Share your page with friends, family members, coworkers! Use social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn. Your community is filled with ways to let everyone know about your event. Contact your local paper! You’ll drum up more interest in your event, raise more money for research and probably meet some people with their own connection to MPN that you ever knew about.

As a member of Team MPN, you’ll have access to CharityEngine and other resources to make fundraising fun and easy. But more importantly, you’ll join a community of supporters and team members who are determined to change the prognosis for people who are struggling with MPNs.
