February is Rare Disease Month

Rare Resilience – United for Research

Did you know that nearly 1 in 10 Americans have a rare disease? There are around 7,000 identified rare and neglected diseases with a known cause, and only 500 have approved treatments. February is Rare Disease Month, and all month long, we are standing united in research to shed light on the rare blood cancers essential thrombocythemia (ET), polycythemia vera (PV), and myelofibrosis (MF).

MPN Research Foundation is the only organization in the MPN space solely focused on advancing research. Your donation fuels the science that could lead to life-changing treatments and a better future for those with ET, PV, and MF. Together, we can move closer to answers. Please join us in supporting this vital work today.

MPN Research Foundation has a 25-year history of funding groundbreaking research into these rare cancers. We’ve given $20.1 million to 99 researchers in nine different countries so far, and we are planning to fund more cutting-edge studies in the coming year looking into earlier intervention and prevention, gene and cell therapies, and more. This work not only benefits ET, PV, and MF patients – these discoveries help the scientific community treat and cure ALL cancers.

But we’re not done yet — there’s so much more to learn, and we need your help to fill the gaps.
